How an idea became the Diecast Expo Germany

Sometimes the best ideas start quite unspectacularly.

No big meeting, no conference room, and no elaborate business plan. Just two collectors having a coffee and discussing what's really missing in the German diecast scene.

That's exactly how the story of Diecast Expo Germany began.

Behind the Expo are two collectors: Christoph from Diecast Hunter and Roman from Diecast Case. What connects us isn't just our work in the diecast world, but above all our shared passion for the hobby.

And at some point, the question arose:

Why isn't there a major event in Germany dedicated entirely to diecast?

An event where manufacturers, retailers, collectors and creators come together. Not just to buy models and head home again, but to spend an entire weekend celebrating the hobby together.

This thought quickly turned into:

Why don't we just do it ourselves?

Easier said than done. Well... almost. 😅

Since then, an idea has turned into many conversations, plans, calculations, and probably even more open tabs. And we are just at the beginning.

On June 26–27, 2027, that idea will finally become reality.

With the Diecast Expo Germany, we want to create a new meeting point for the diecast community. With well-known brands, exciting dealers, special models, events, and most importantly, lots of people who share the same passion.

What exactly awaits you, we will announce piece by piece in the coming months.

And this photo?

It might not be the most professional founding photo in the world. 😂 But somehow, it fits perfectly. Because in the end, that's exactly how it all started: two collectors, a table, and a pretty big idea.
